He gained QTS, through the University of Bristol, after placements in Swindon and Bristol.Mr Fernandes began his career at Bradley Stoke Community School helping to set up key areas of the curriculum during the schools early development.
He has led professional development courses to Science educators through the National Science Learning Centre Network and has contributed to published research on the use of ICT in Science Education in collaboration with the University of Bristol.Mr Walker began his teaching career at Ashton Park School in Bristol where he specialised in Physical Education, quickly becoming an Assistant Head of Year, then Head of House before becoming the Head of Sixth Form.Being hugely passionate about sport, and working at a sports college, Mr Walker has organised sports tours to Australia and South Africa, as well as taking an active role in an expedition to Kenya to build a developing community school called ‘Inspirations School’ in Mombasa, which is in its tenth year.Outside of school Mrs Jenkins tries to pursue a range of interests (when not taking her children to and from various evening and weekend activities) She is an enthusiastic (if rather accident prone mountain biker) as well as a fair weather, warm water surfer.
Her other interests include running and swimming particularly once her local outdoor pool is open.
Mr D Truan – Assistant Headteacher Mr Truan graduated with a degree in Sports Science from The University of Wales Swansea, before gaining his QTS through a Graduate Teacher Programme based at The Ridings High School in Bristol.
